Maple Baked Beans


1lb Dried Navy Beans
8 oz Lyons Select 5% Maple Syrup
6 oz Bacon, chopped
4 oz Onions, chopped
2 tsp Kosher Salt
2 tsp Dry Mustard
6 oz Ketchup
4 oz Brown Sugar

In a pot, place the beans and 6 cups of cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let stand one hour, then drain. Place the beans back in the pot then add enough water to cover by one inch. Bring to a simmer, and cook until tender, about one hour. Drain beans, reserving two cups of cooking liquid. Place in a 9x12
caserrole dish, cover with foil and bake at 325° for about two hours. Remove the foil and bake for one and a half
more hours. Trust us, it’s worth the wait!
