The Appletini Turns 21

The Appletini was concocted at a restaurant in Los Angeles in the 1990’s. With equal parts vodka and sour apple schnapps, this adult libation was potent but sweet, making it easy to drink because consumers couldn’t taste the alcohol. It proved to be so intoxicating that the cocktail was taken off the menu but wide-spread disappointment amongst customers grew and the cocktail was quickly added back. Soon, the cocktail was on bar menus everywhere across the country.

Today, there are hundreds of variations of the Appletini from cinnamon inclusions to caramel rimmed glassware. The possibilities are endless so get creative and add your own special touch to this adored cocktail.
