1 pkg Uncooked pie crust - store bought or homemade
4-6 oz Lyons Preserves & Jellies flavors of your choice
(Red Raspberry, Strawberry, Peach and Blackberry)
1 Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter
(approximately 3” is recommended)
Powdered Sugar for garnish
Preheat oven to 425°
Roll out pie crust to ½ centimeter thick on a floured board and cut with heart shaped cookie cutter. Add a dollop of jelly to the middle of the heart, about 1 tsp, depending on the size of the hearts. Moisten the edge of the heart with water and cover with another heart, form a seal by softly pressing down on the edges then press sealed edges together with fork tines. Use fork tines to prick the middle of each heart and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature. If dusting with powdered
sugar wait until they are completely cooled.
